Susan Harris, BBus(Mktg), AMM 
In owning and managing Absolute Events & Marketing, Susan Harris brings almost eight years
of conference, event and function management and marketing experience, as well as many
years of working in the marketing, advertising, and public relations field. Susan’s
background ensures clients receive the very best level of service with an Event Manager
with wide ranging and relevant experience.
She has worked with professional conference management companies (in roles such as Conference Manager and Marketing & Events Manager, as well as
Conference & Event Co-Ordinator)
and a not-for-profit association where her responsibility covered conference and event management, business development, marketing, client liaison, internet strategy, and publications.
Her wide-ranging experience in the areas of marketing, advertising, public relations, conference management and co-ordination, and promotions are valuable to all areas of Absolute Events & Marketing and the services it offers.
Client service is important to Susan and she prides herself on her high organisational skills, flexible approach, friendly and personable manner and high standards. Her liaison and relationship-building skills are a vital link in the important role of event and marketing organisation. Her goal is to ensure all stakeholders receive maximum benefit for their investment.
Prior to working in the event industry, Susan worked as an Acting Marketing Manager for a retirement village operator, an Advertising Co-Ordinator in an advertising agency for over three years, for a sugar cane growing membership organisation, and in the arts industry – all in a variety of co-ordination and administration roles.
At the end of 2002, she completed six years of part-time study at Queensland University of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Marketing with a Public Relations specialisation.
Susan recently achieved the qualification of the Meetings & Events Australia Accredited Meetings Manager (AMM).
At the moment, Susan is backed by a team of highly skills contractors who work with Absolute Events & Marketing as needed depending on demand. This team have experience in event co-ordination, registration processing, data administration, client service, accounting, and general administration. Having contractors allows us to keep overheads low - this means that costs are not passed onto the client.
YOUR CONFERENCE & EVENT CO-ORDINATOR
Chris Shaw 
Chris Shaw would be your Conference & Event Co-Ordinator. Chris has many years
of administration experience within government and the private sector and has a high
customer service focus. She has held many positions throughout her working career
including Administration Assistant, Personal Assistant, Team Leader and Executive Office, and has extensive
experience organising airline bookings, accommodation and social functions. She has completed a Diplomna of Business with the Australian Institute of Management. She has previously
worked with Susan on conferences and events ranging from 200 to 500 people, and liaised with speakers and exhibitors to ensure smooth management of logistics.
