As a Conference & Event Manager, Susan Harris, has organised more than 50 events throughout Australia ranging from conferences (from 80 to 900 people), exhibitions (from 15 to 110 booths), workshops, through to fully themed gala dinners, cocktail parties, awards nights and an international launch for a conference.
She managed these events for clients in the association, corporate and university fields. Events organised include association conferences, opening and closing ceremonies, gala award dinners, cocktail parties, board meetings, corporate events, offsite dinners and a trivia fundraising event.
Susan has an in-depth understanding of the details entailed in organising conferences and events, and thrives on the challenges that often present themselves during this process.
In fact, her best example of crisis management is when she co-ordinated a very successful conference held in Cairns two weeks after the conference airline, Ansett Airline, collapsed!
